Aviation Economics welcomes Nicole Dawson as its new Managing Director of Consultancy

The Directors of Aviation Economics, Peter Hind and Tim Coombs, are delighted to announce that Nicole Dawson will be joining us in the role of Managing Director commencing early September.

Nicole moved from Australia to the UK three years ago and brings with her over 17 years of global aviation industry experience, having led assignments for airlines, fund managers, private equity, investment banks, tourism bodies, Governments, airports and ancillary industry suppliers.

An experienced Project Director, Nicole has been involved with many different business segments in the aviation industry including:-

  • Full business case due diligence for airport investment transactions globally
  • Review of airport managements capital investment plans
  • Primary and secondary traffic forecasting
  • Pricing negotiations between airlines and airports
  • Development of strategic plans for airports for new airline services and individual route business cases
  • Business planning for start-up airlines including Jetstar Australia and Australian Airlines
  • Market analysis for the establishment of a national carrier in Nigeria
  • Strategic analysis for Western Australian market for an airline with a hub feeder role
  • Airline route development with assignments for the implementation of international charter flights with Vietnam Airlines, China Southern, Air New Zealand, Silk, Cebu and Qantas Airways

Prior to team at Qantas Airways, led the mergers and acquisitions team at Queensland Rail, worked in the airport investment team at AMP Capital and led teams in management consulting including at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) and more recently Avia Solutions.
